Frequently Asked Questions

The tissue sample from your biopsy will be looked at by trained sarcoma pathology doctors who will send a report to your doctor for them to review with you. Depending on the tests that need to be done on your tissue sample, the results can take up to 2 weeks to be sent to the doctor who ordered the biopsy. The pathologist at MSH are specialized to diagnose sarcomas and will sometimes require more tests on your tissue.

Your doctor will want to review the results and book a time in clinic to discuss these with you. If additional tests are required to make the decision on your treatment, it may take longer for your biopsy results to be ready for discussion with you.
